Problems are unfortunatly inevitable
They are caused as a result of:
1. Not using the software as it was designed i.e. lack of user training
2. Hardware platforms, Networks, Software Versions, Operating System types and versions, or the combination of all or any.
3. Developing software to interface two software products, all developed by different companies, invites problems form time to time. Ether Company can modify its interface without notification or warning.
4. Un-documented features, nice new word for a software BUG, which is the results of a sequence of events which have not been catered for in the testing, either during development or after a modification. These as also inevitable, ask NASA.
It does not matter what the problem is, the solution is to identify it and take corrective action as quickly and efficiently as possible.
The sequence of problem resolution starts with self-help and escalates.
Self-help is the quickest and easiest way to resolve a simple problem.
